Barcelona is currently touring Japan and South Korea on their pre-season, which has been far from simple so far. The journey was almost canceled in the midst of accusations of a breach of promoters of the Tour, and even when a resolution was reached, the Catalans were behind schedule to rinse.
They won the first match of the Tour, with a 3-1 success against Vissel Kobe. However, that match and the training sessions in East Asia have seen a new problem emerging.
According to MD, there have been countless complaints from Barcelona players about the new sweaters, which reveals that they are getting excessively due to a structure of sweat.
Raphinha, one of the biggest personalities in the dressing room of Barcelona, is said to have been very vocal about this issue, and he quoted that there are so many problems with the Brazilian sweater, where their kits are also delivered to Nike.
Hansi Flick has noticed this problem and he has listened to the complaints of his players. That is why he has asked the Barcelona hierarchy to look for a resolution, in which Sport reports that he specifically wants new, lighter shirts to be made for his team.
It is understandable why so much is made of this. Footballers must feel comfortable on the field, and to be able to play at their best level, they must also be in the best possible form. That means that they do not bear much weight, so the fact that their shirts cause this problem is very disturbing.
It is still to be seen whether a solution can be reached, but Barcelona will hope that – and ideally, as soon as possible.
