No fallout at Real Madrid after Champions League exit, says Ancelotti

Real Madrid -head coach Carlo Ancelotti has said that there have been no disputes after their exit from the Champions League, despite the fact that players and staff hurt.

The Spanish side are 15 times European champions, but were aggregated with 5-1 in the quarterfinals, so that they only fight on the domestic front.

Real Madrid is confronted with Barcelona in next week's Copa del Rey-Final, while organizing Athletic Bilbao in Laliga on Sunday, with the aim of reducing the four-point gap to Leaders Barca.

Rumors about every friction between Ancelotti and Florentino Perez are wide of the goal, according to the first.

“I spoke with the players and I spoke to the club. We are all on the same page. We are all injured because we have left the competition in which we have been the most successful. You can't always win,” Ancelotti told reporters.

“We have the same idea, there is no conflict with the club. The person who says there is a conflict is incorrect, the president shows more affection at these moments than when we win.

“The Champions League is the most important competition for everyone. The Champions League is the most important history of Madrid. But it is not true that the rest does not count.”

Ancelotti refused to blame his players after their European exit and claimed that he had a “great relationship” with them, although the criticism recognized after their defeat pain.

“The reality is that everything in this world is questioned,” he said. “Picking up a club that has won nearly 30 titles in the past decade seems misleading to me.

“All I want to do is thank all these players because I have had a great time so far and I want to keep doing this … These players have given me the chance to win two Champions competitions in recent years.”

In the meantime, Athletic Bilbao qualified for the semi -final of the Europa League after the victory over Rangers in the last eight and Ancelotti congratulated them.

“It will be an intense game, both teams have played during the week,” he said. “They are getting closer to reaching the final at San Mames. We want to stay in the fight for Laliga.”
