‘No mercy’… Conor McGregor accused of ‘using MMA’ to brutalise amateur soccer player during game

Conor McGregor has made waves on social media for his brutal display on the football pitch for his pub team.

The legendary mixed martial artist certainly didn't hold anything back when it came to tackling.

In his esteemed UFC career, Conor McGregor made a name for himself for his raw power, knocking opponents unconscious with his thunderous left hand.

And it seems his love for violence transcends the octagon, with the athlete taking on some truly outrageous challenges for his beloved side.

On Saturday, the Dubliner played for Black Forge FC, in a United Churches Football League (UCFL) Premier Division match against Harding FC.

McGregor, wearing the number 11 jersey, appeared on the left wing and went all out in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.

A video clip showed the 36-year-old seemingly connecting with a kick to an opponent's stomach after a missed goal attempt, dragging a rival to the ground and into a brutal slide tackle.

His antics apparently irritated one of the players on the other team, with the person actually shoving the Irishman.

Fans are reacting to Conor McGregor taking on outrageous challenges on the football field

Naturally, the MMA community quickly took to social media to post their thoughts on what McGregor was doing on the field.

One person commented: “The first guy physically kicked a real ex-world champion,” while another enthused: “This may sound cliché, but Conor's football is exactly how I imagined it. Extremely wonderful!”

A third claimed: “Conor McGregor thinks football and MMA are the same,” while a fourth added: “It seems everyone there is afraid to play him.”

A fifth simply wrote: “No mercy.”
