‘No progress on a new contract‘ -Salah declares this’s my last year at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has again stated that he expects to leave Liverpool at the end of the season with 'no progress' made on a contract extension.

The forward also explained his desire to win the Premier League in a fitting swan song, with Arne Slot's side six points clear at the top and with a game in hand.

Speaking to Sky Sports about his desire to reach a high, Salah said: 'It's probably because we didn't celebrate the victory we won in the way we wanted.

“And coming back here, it's my last year at the club, so you want to do something special for the city.”

Salah has said several times this season that this will be his 'last year' at Anfield, revealing in September that 'no one has spoken to me' about his deal. After starring in Sunday's 5-0 win over West Ham, he said he was still 'a long way' from new terms.

And when asked if he really believes this will be his last season at the club, he added: 'So far, yes. It's been the last six months. There is no progress there.

'We are far from any progress. So we just have to wait and see.'
