Noche UFC loses top contender fight as ‘gutted’ former champ reveals reason for withdrawal

The main map of Noche UFC has taken a hit.

For the third year in a row, the UFC Nouch will organize UFC, a special event that the Mexican fighting spirit is celebrating during the Mexican Independence Day weekend.

Brazilian contenders Diego Lopes and Jean Silva will be in San Antonio, Texas, with a number of Mexican hunters and hunters of Mexican descent on the Undercard on 13 September.

Two hunters recently withdrew from the map, in which Alden Coria replaced an injured Edgar chairman and a former champion with a similar fate.

Raquel Pennington withdraws from her first fight ever at Noche UFC

Until last October, Raquel Pennington was the UFC ladies bantam weight champion in the world.

Pennington, 36, lost its title in a very controversial split decision by Julianna Pena in the Co-Main event of UFC 307.

Rank on #2, 'Rocky' was initially set up to return to a top candidate-fight against the #4-ranged Norma Dumont on the main map of NOCHE UFC, but an existing neck injury eventually forces Pennington to eventually pull out of the competition.

“This is hard to say … I have been at UFC for 12 years, 26 fights, and I never had to pull out of a fight,” wrote Pennington on Instagram.

“I have been dealing with a neck injury for a while. My last Vechtkamp had a procedure to get through it in September and to get in that octagon at the beginning of October. This camp … It just went one thing after the other.

“I am through and through a competitor, but I also have to take care of my health if I want to keep doing this in the right way,” Pennington continued.

“So yes … I am stripped to say that I have to withdraw from this fight. Excuses to the fans, @UFC and my opponent @Norma_dumont_mma, I am back, and I would still like to share that octagon with Norma when the time is the same. I hope she gets a replacement opponent and her chances is not stripped.

“Thank you to everyone who drives me through the highlights and the lows. It means more than you know. Tests don't break me – they build me,” Pennington added.

UFC releases poster for Noche UFC

This year we have received a new look from the UFC Van Noche.

Last year's poster, Sean O'Malley, Merab Dvalishvili, Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko saw opposite the Las Vegas -Bol.

The poster for Noche UFC 3 contained headliners Diego Lopes and Jean Silva opposite each other without finding a sphere, only elements of Mexico, such as an eagle laid on a spiky peercactus that bites a snake.

Two 'Charros' or Mexican cowboys can also be seen on the poster, directly above Silva and Lopes.
