James Ward-Prowse returns to West Ham for the rest of the season after his loan in Nottingham Forest has been demolished.
Ward-Prowse left his boy's club Southampton to become a member of West Ham in a deal that reportedly worth £ 30 million in August 2023, then scored seven goals and provided seven assists in his first campaign in the London Stadium.
However, he was considered to be considered an excess by Julen Lopetegui in August and joined Forest on loan.
But with Lopetegui, which was replaced by Graham Potter last month, Ward-Prowse gets a second chance to impress the hammers after his loan ended on Monday.
The midfielder cannot play for another club this season, which West Ham and Forest already represented in 2024-25, so he will be part of Potter's team for the rest of the campaign.
Ward-Prowsse made nine Premier League performances for Forest, starting five times, but he only played 21 minutes since he started in the 3-0 loss of November at Arsenal.
We can confirm that James Ward-Prowse has returned to West Ham United after a mutual agreement has been reached between the two clubs.
Everyone in Forest thanks James for his professionalism and dedication during his time on Trentside and wish him the best for the future. pic.twitter.com/9te0qgsyvi
