Tottenham thought they were about to pick up Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest after activating his £ 60 million release clause, but his club has complained about an illegal approach

Forest uploaded a message on Instagram and showed off with a number of players who go back to the training with the caption: “Back with the group”, followed by a wavy plate.
Gibbs-White was admitted to a slide show of five players, including Chris Wood, Matz Sels and Nikola Milenkovic.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a great season in the city area after scoring seven and helping eight in the Premier League, which helped forest quality for Europe.
His versions also led to speculation, he could join Pep Guardiola in Manchester City, but Spurs now seem to be the front runners and they still hope to close a deal despite the hiccup with forest.
