Nunez pushes for Napoli move despite Liverpool rejecting their latest bid

The Serie A -Giants submitted a formal offer at Liverpool worth € 50 million plus € 5 million in bonuses this week, which was reportedly rejected quickly by the Reds that the Uruguayan see as much more valuable despite its inconsistencies.

Liverpool signed the 26 -year -old for about £ 85 million and wants to earn back some of that money to invest again elsewhere, while the summer transfer window remains open. Now, according to Transferoe Fabrizio Romano, the striker hopes for a move to Italy and Napoli gives priority over any other club.

“After the sale of Osimhen, Napoli was set up for a new round of conversations for Darwin Nunez, since Uruguayan striker remains the most important, dream goal.

“As revealed two weeks ago, Darwin wants Napoli and he is open to the move.

“Understand at this stage that he gives the total priority to Napoli.”

According to Corriere Dello Sport, the Reds would be willing to sell NUNEZ for around £ 70 million, which can be an urge to Napoli, given how he only scored 7 goals in 47 performances for the club last season. Chances are that if Liverpool will not admit to their price tag, that Nunez will remain on the side on the way to the new season, which would not be ideal for manager Arne Slot.

The club has already signed Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, but now has to sell players to buy, including not only Nunez, but also as Luis Diaz, Joe Gomez and Andrew Robertson who are reportedly free to be sold.
