Ode Osbourne hints he feels robbed of win in UFC Vegas 109 co-main in first comments since short-notice fight

UFC Flyweight Ode Ode Osbourne handed Steve Erceg almost his fourth consecutive loss.

Just a few minutes before Anthony Hernandez's dominant victory in the headliner of UFC Vegas 109, Flyweights Steve Erceg and Ode Osbourne put one of the best fights in a Bantamweight Co-Main. The fight was aware of days after the originally planned opponent of ERCEG, Hyun Sung Park, was again planned to fill the UFC Vegas 108 Main Event Slot.

Osbourne did a strong achievement, despite the fact that he started the fight on the late notification. But Erceg squeaked a unanimous decision victory on the jury's score cards.

Social media were divided on how the UFC Vegas 109 Co-Main event was scored during a bizarre night of assessment at the top. Osbourne believes that he deserved to get the nod over Erceg after he had surpassed him in various statistical categories.

In a recent message to X Brak Osbourne his social media stilte for the first time since UFC Vegas 109.

Erceg's struggling seemed to be the difference in their UFC Vegas 109 fight. ERCEG was at the forefront with 3 Takedowns and almost five full minutes of control time.

Osbourne expressed a different tone on his Instagram story and congratulated Erceg with the victory.

“That was fun, that was really nice. First of all, you just want to thank everyone who supports me. Do the best that I could do that fight on 11 days of cancellation. A week of training to prepare. Again, no excuse, Steve Erceg did great,” Osbourne said.

“I don't take anything away from him, he did well. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to compete for the number 9 place. I just want to thank [the UFC] And everyone for putting together this fight, because it was exciting at the end of the day. “

The loss of Osbourne was his fifth over his last seven fights and breaks his momentum after winning a knockout victory over Luis Gulle in April. Before the Gurule fight, Osbourne lost three consecutive fights to Ronaldo Rodriguez, Jafel Filho and Asu Almabayev.

In the meantime, Erceg clicks a four-fight losing streak with his closely affected victory over UFC Vegas 109. But ERCEG was not the biggest point of conversation after an eventful night in the Apex.

Anthony Hernandez called 'the best middleweight' after dominant UFC Vegas 109 show

Just a few minutes after the victory of Erceg, Hernandez did the biggest performance of his career about Roman Dolidze in the headliner of the UFC Vegas 109. After a three-round Beatdown of Dolidze, Hernandez sealed the deal in round 4 with a standing choke entry.

The victory of Hernandez let many sing his praise while he continued his climb in the middle rankings. UFC analyst Din Thomas went so far that he would preach Hernandez the 'best middleweight on the planet' after his performance, a curious statement only a few days before Dricus du Plessis vs. Khamzat Chimaev.

Anyway, Hernandez is potentially one victory removed from a title shot and this Saturday will be in Chicago for UFC 319 for UFC 319. Do not be surprised if Hernandez gets an octagonal faceoff with the winner of Du Plessis vs. Chimaev.
