Odegaard to sue two Norwegian media over invasion of privacy during wedding

According to the latest report from the Norwegian media SE OG Hør, Martin Ødegaard takes legal steps against two Norwegian media after photographers have disrupted his wedding.

It has been reported that Ødegaard suggests the weekly magazine SE OG Hør and Daily Krant Dagbladet and accuses them of the invading of privacy in reports about his stay in the UK. In a letter to SE OG Hør editor Niklas Kockin-Thoresen, the lawyer of Ødegaard said: “Your article described the location of our customer's recently purchased family home and contains photos.” Kockin-Thorenen stated that he will “remain composed” about these allegations and will not remove the items.

Last week, Ødegaards's dream weekend marriage with Helen Mors was disturbed by a commotion, in which several security staff dragged a photographer away. The photojournalist was accompanied when guests left at the end of the ceremony and the magazine for which he worked threatened to undertake police action later.

In a statement, SE OG Hør said: “We have a strong objection to the use of violence by security personnel against our photographer on the spot. He reported on a public event in a public place. They did not have the right to block the parking space or the area around the church. That is why this issue will not be reported to the police – we cannot use the use of violence against journalists and photographers.”
