OFFICIAL: LA LIGA Announcement on new precautions for Olmo registration
LALIGA took note this afternoon of the resolution of the President of the Supreme Council of Sport, in which, without having heard LALIGA or the RFEF, he considers the precautionary measure requested by FC Barcelona and by the players Mr. Daniel Olmo. Carvajal and Mr. Pau Víctor Delgado, who will maintain the validity of the licenses of the said players until the appeal filed by the aforementioned against the agreement of the Monitoring Committee of the RFEF-LALIGA Coordination Agreement is finally resolved. In light of this resolution, LALIGA would like to clarify the following:
– The resolution was passed without the appeal having been forwarded or the objections addressed to LALIGA or the RFEF, so at this point the arguments put forward by the players and FC Barcelona in the appeal are unknown.
– The content of the resolution will be carefully studied in order to make the necessary appeals, without prejudice to expressing strong disagreement with it.
– Apart from the above, the agreement of the Monitoring Committee of the RFEF-LALIGA Coordination Agreement reflects the prior consent of LALIGA to refuse the prior visa, and of the RFEF the final license of the footballers Mr. Daniel Olmo and Mr. Pau Víctor, as explained in the minutes themselves.
– However, the resolution refers to a series of motivations related to the rights of athletes to their sporting career, a topic that we will study when the file is transferred to us.
