‘What are we gonna do?’… Undisputed boxing champion Artur Beterbiev responds to Jake Paul claiming he ‘runs this sport’

Fresh off his controversial win over Mike Tyson, 'The Problem Child' finds himself in the crosshairs of countless world champion boxers past and present.

But among all the names creating the divisive sensation on social media, there is one that stands head and shoulders above the rest: the undisputed light heavyweight king, Artur Beterbiev.

Artur Beterbiev and Jake Paul exchange fiery messages on social media

After his unanimous victory over Mike Tyson last weekend, Jake Paul is calling the bell once again; with countless boxing icons looking to silence 'The Problem Child' and get revenge on Iron Mike.

However, not many fans could have predicted that the undisputed king Artur Beterbiev would throw his name in the hat of potential next opponents, let alone in a respectful and sincere manner.

“What can you do in [the] ring against the current undisputed champion?” Beterbiev wrote on his Instagram page in response to Jake Paul teasing a future showdown, before stating that he is “always open to suggestions.”

A few hours later, Paul responded to

“I just saw this… The best 5 pound-for-pound fighter in the world is calling me. Hahahahahahaha. Four years later I am running this sport.”

While his comment that he's “running this sport” didn't go over well with boxing purists, it did catch the attention of Beterbiev again, who responded by doubling down on his fight offer.

“After four years it is time for serious challenges. I didn't notice your acceptance or rejection… So what are we going to do?”

Beterbiev remains one of the sport's biggest superstars, coming off an impressive majority decision win over Canelo conqueror Dmitry Bivol; although his stock would certainly decrease if he actually accepted an offer to fight Paul.

Jake Paul called out by heavyweight champion after his Mike Tyson fight

Artur Beterbiev isn't the only champion calling for a fight with Jake Paul, with heavyweight Daniel Dubois also teasing a showdown with 'The Problem Child'.

Paul would share a screenshot of an alleged DM from 'Dynamite Dubois' which read: “Good business this weekend, but how would you like to fight for the legitimate heavyweight championship of the world. This is Daniel Dubois calling you, let's get started.

Paul replied with an image of a ticket machine and told Dubois to 'get in line', then re-shared the image on his own social media.

“Man been boxing for 12 years, had over 100 fights between amateur and professional and fought on my undercard…hahaha… But fuck it…I'll let Nakisa talk to Frankie Warren and get you in line for the throne. Unlike Artur, you at least have a few thousand fans.”
