6 June Arsenal officially announced the renewal of Gabriel's contract, with the New Deal that will expire in 2029.

Gabriel has signed a new long -term contract with us.
The 27-year-old defender joined Ligue 1 Side Lille in September 2020. He has made 210 performances in all competitions, an important member of the backline and scored 20 goals.
The career of Gabriel started at Avai FC in Santa Catarina, Brazil, before moving to France in January 2017 to draw for Lille. The Center-Back had Leen Proverbs in Troyes (Ligue 1) and Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia), where the inland competition and cup won double with Dinamo Zagreb during the 2017/18 season season.
Since he scored on his debut in the Premier League seasers opener from 2020/21 to Fulham, Gabriel has consistently set an attacking threat and became the highest scoring defender in the Premier League during this period.
Just over two years after arrival in England, Gabriel signed his first contract extension at the club, proof of his interest as an indispensable core member. His consistent versions gave him a place in the PFA team of the year 2023/24. At the start of that season he lifted the Community Shield Trophy in Wembley Stadium after a victory in the Penalty Shootout on Manchester City.
In the past two Premier League seasons, Gabriel has been a mainstay in the defense, making the team one of the least assigned parties. In addition to his defensive firmness, his natural target score skills has frequently brought joy, nothing more memorable than his last winner of Gasp road to Tottenham Hotspur in September 2024.

This season he played 42 games for Arsenal, scored 5 goals and offers 1 assist. In the competition he started all 28 games, on average 0.89 tackles, 0.64 interceptions and 3.18 clearance per match.
