OFFICIAL: Boubacar Traore returns to Metz on a season-long loan

Wolves have confirmed that midfielder Boubacar Traore completed a seasonal loan movement to FC Metz for the 2025/26 campaign.

Official statement from the club

Midfielder Boubacar Traore has returned to Metz on loan for the 2025/26 season.

The Maliaan joined Wolves of the Ligue 1 side in 2022, but after playing only three times last season, returned to a temporary basis in an attempt to receive more opportunities on the field.

The midfielder was a deadline day signed in the summer of 2022, initially on loan, and played 11 times that first season, mainly under the temporary management of Steve Davis and James Collins

During that period, Traore scored his only Wolves goal to date, a Carabao Cup winner against Leeds United, and the next summer his loan movement became permanent, despite the fact that he missed a longer period with a groin problem.

Traore played 27 times about the 2023/24 campaign, often from the bank, but a meniscus injury and the form of his colleagues considerably denied him Gametime last season.

Everything at Wolves would like to wish Boubacar during his time back at Metz.
