Brighton and Hove Albion Full-back Valentín Barco (20) have been borrowed from Ligue 1 Strasbourg, both clubs have announced. The Boca Juniors Youth Graduate spent the first part of the campaign in loan at Sevilla FC. Barco only made nine performances for the Rojiblancos in all competitions. He was recalled and sent on loan to the BlueCo Ligue 1-side. “He had a frustrating time with Seville, but this gives him a new start and a new chance. We wish him the best for the second half of the season, “said Brighton and Hove Albion head coach Fabian Hürzeler.
Strasbourg needed reinforcements on the left with Chelsea's Caleb Wiley, which is recalled by the blues pending a potential loan movement to EFL Championship Side Watford FC. The Loan from Valentin Barco to Strasbourg reportedly contains an option to make his switch to La Meinau permanent. Strasbourg will be confronted with Rennes this Sunday evening.
