Chelsea has completed the signing sessions of Sporting Lisbon Youngs Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo in a double deal of £ 62.4 million.
The Portuguese side confirmed the transfers with the movement of Quenda that cost the blues £ 43.7 million.
Sporting revealed that Essugo goes to the Premier League side for £ 18.7 million, with the midfielder moving this summer.
Quenda, a Portugal Under 21 International, will continue to go into sport next season before moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2026.
January Man United saw an exploring a deal for Quenda, who turns 18 in April and previously played under their now head coach Ruben Amorim at Sporting.
United is said to have followed Quenda before Amorim was appointed head coach of the club in November.
After having spent time in the Youth Academy of Rivals' Benfica, Quenda will enter Sporting at Sporting at the age of 13.
Amorim immediately reserved Quenda for his potential, and he became the youngest player ever who represents the reserve team of Sporting at the age of 16.
At the start of the current campaign, Quenda was integrated into the first team of Sporting, where Amorim was enthusiastic about his performance on the right wing after having made an impression in a pre-season-friendly.
“He is very talented, very mature and understands the game as an adult,” Amorim told Sporting TV in July.
“He clearly has much to improve, but I think he had an excellent game and we have a player there.”
Quenda was born in Guinea-Bissau and chose to represent Portugal internationally and has included internationally to both U17 and U21-Lijdtijdag groups.
In August, Portugal boss Roberto Martinez Quenda handed over his first senior call-up for Nations League collisions with Croatia and Scotland, although he could not be seen in any of the two games.
Quenda played 44 times this season, scored twice and set up eight goals.
Amorim used him in a wing-back role by the start of the season, but since then he has been redesigned higher on the right wing.
Essugo, who is also a Portugal U-9 international, is on loan this season in Las Palmas.
Chelsea has been following the ball -winning midfielder for a while and expects that he will give a team depth prior to another hectic season, following the club World Cup and inevitably the tension on Moises Caicedo.
Essugo comes from the same agency as Caicedo and Kendry Paez, the 17-year-old who comes to Chelsea this summer from Independente del Valle.
The double deal will continue with Chelsea's Push to sign top young talent under Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, where ownership approaches an expenditure of almost £ 1.3 billion since the takeover in 2022.
