Rayan Cherki is wearing the number 10 shirt for Manchester City for the 2025/26 season.
The French International accompanied us from Lyon before the FIFA Club World Cup for a deal of five years.
He wore number 29 at the tournament in the United States and made his debut in the 2-0 win over Wydad AC before he scored his first goal for the club in the 6-0 win over Al Ain.
Cherki will now switch to the 10, which has become free after the season consideration of Jack Grealish's seasonal movement to Everton.
He took the number 18 in Lyon after he was broken into the team in October 2019 and during his 185 performances for his boys' club.
But the new song from the attacking midfielder reflects his power as a playmaker with 10 who have a long history throughout the world football that they are associated with creative players.
Among earlier players to wear the song in the city are record goal scorer Sergio Aguero, who switched from No. 16 for his last six seasons in the Etihad.
Edin Dzeko, Shaun Goater and Asa Hartford are among the other city greats that have regularly taken the number 10 shirt.
