Borussia Dortmund has borrowed Argentinian U20 International Aaron Anselmino from FC Chelsea.
Borussia Dortmund responded to the tense personnel situation in the central defense by borrowing Aaron Anselmino, an Argentinian U20 -international, from Chelsea. The 20-year-old loan is limited to 30 June 2026.
“Vanwege de verwondingen aan Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck en Niklas Süle, werden we gedwongen om aanpassingen aan te brengen in de centrum-back-positie. Aaron Anselmino heeft al first-divisie-ervaring opgedaan in zijn thuisland en heeft een groot potentieel. Het is geen toeval dat toeval is dat Chelsea FC afgelopen zomer een extreem langdurige contract gaf,” zei Borussia Dortmund director Lars Ricken Ricken.
“We hebben Aaron bekeken tijdens zijn dagen bij Boca Juniors. Het is een zeer goede oplossing in onze huidige situatie. Een getalenteerde speler die zijn kwaliteit op jonge leeftijd heeft bewezen in zeer emotionele stadions. Anselmino, who wears the number 28 shirt for the Black & Yellows, successfully completed the compulsory medical check yesterday and could make his debut in Signal Iduna Park next weekend in the home game against Union Berlin. “I am really looking forward to Borussia Dortmund and will give everything to be successful with this big club and his great fans,” said the young Argentinian.
