OFFICIAL: Florenzi has retired from professional football after leaving AC Milan

Italian defender Alessandro Florenzi announces his retirement of professional football at the age of 34 after leaving AC Milan.

Alessandro Florenzi leaves Acmilan after 4 years and 2 trophies in the club.

Florenzi said:

“You taught me how to love all fans, from the first to the last without exception.

Each of you has encouraged me to improve and you helped me to recover from the waterfalls that are part of this sport and life: I am very grateful to you.

I want to thank every partner, coach, employees and manager, nobody has excluded: day after day your support and professionalism has enabled me to grow up as a man and as a football player.

Thank you, Ale, for seeing something special in that little boy in the middle of the camp 17 years ago. You and the WSA family are and will always be an essential part of my life, not just football.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who has accompanied me on this long journey, and in particular all the people who work quietly behind the scenes: each of you has left a stamp. Without you I wouldn't be the person I am today.

Thanks again, my friend: Today we greet each other, but you will always be part of me. “
