Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirmed at a press conference that Bukayo Saka will be sidelined for several weeks due to injury.
Arteta spoke about Saka's injury, saying: 'It doesn't look good. He will be out for MANY weeks.”
“It is a huge blow, but it will be a great exercise for us to overcome another challenge.”
Saka was injured in the 24th minute of Arsenal's 5–1 win over Crystal Palace and was left feeling uncomfortable after making a pass and then being substituted.
According to talkSPORT, Saka has suffered a hamstring injury and will be out until February, missing at least 10 games for Arsenal.
When asked about possible replacements for Saka, Arteta replied: “I am considering a few ideas. We're going to do something new, just like we did when Ødegaard was gone. Martinelli, Nwaneri and Trossard have all played in that position… Havertz can also step in. We will have internal discussions to find the best solution.”
One of the club's key players, Saka made 24 appearances this season, scoring 9 goals and providing 13 assists. His market value is currently estimated at €150 million.
In addition, Arteta also provided an update on Sterling's injury: “He will rest for a number of weeks and will require further checks tomorrow. It's a knee problem.”
