Arsenal officially announces that Sweden has signed international Viktor Gyökeres for the Gunners on a long -term contract.
The 27-year-old striker comes from Sporting Lisbon, where he scored an incredible 97 goals in 102 performances.
During his two seasons with Sporting, Viktor helped the Team Back-to-Back Primeira Liga titles, a National Cup, and was the top scorer of the competition in both campaigns. He also excelled at international level and scored 12 goals in his last 17 performances for Sweden.
Born in Stockholm, Viktor started his career as a Brommapojkarna, where he developed through their youth academy, 32 goals scored in 31 performances at levels under 19 and under 21, and made his senior debut as a 17-year-old.
In January 2018, the clinical goal scorer joined Brighton & Hove Albion, during which time he enjoyed loan spells in Swansea City, St. Pauli and Coventry City, who permanently moved to the Sky Blues in 2021 and helped them play the championship in 2023.

Viktor will wear the number 14 shirt and will immediately participate in the team on our tour for the season in Asia.
