Ipswich Town is pleased to confirm the return of midfielder Jens Cajuste.
Jens spent the 2024/25 season in Portman Road and again puts itself on loan from the Serie A champions Napoli for the new campaign.
The Sweden International made 33 performances for Town last season and scored one goal, with his strike against Nottingham Forest who won the goal of the Premier League of the monthly prize before March.
“I am really happy that everything fell into place and I am glad I am back,” Jens said.
“I have always had the ambition that the summer entered, that I would be enthusiastic to come back here and I am really looking forward to getting back to work with my teammates.
“Being at the club last season was one of the best experiences of my professional career, especially in terms of comradeship and team spirit, and working under an incredible manager for whom I have the highest level of respect.
“What I have seen is the championship as a war and one of the most difficult competitions in the world, so that is a challenge that I am really enthusiastic about.”
Before he came to the city last summer, Jens spent a season with Napoli who had previously represented Reims in France, the Danish side FC Midtjylland and Orgryte in his home country.
He played Champions League and Europa League football during his career, made 25 performances for his country and was part of the Sweden team in UEFA Euro 2020.
Jens is wearing the number 12 shirt for the blues in 2025/26.
