OFFICIAL: Jean-Pierre Rivère steps down as OGC Nice president

OGC Nice has announced that President Jean-Pierre Rivère has decided to resign from his position at the club, with Fabrice Bocquet (general manager since 2022) to be promoted as his replacement. Rivère will officially leave the role on August 20.

Rivère has been in charge of Nice for the past 14 years, in which he first took the lead in 2011 and led the club to a new modern era. Under his presidency, Nice has become a regular fixed value on the continent and the club has qualified seven times for European competitions.

In 2019 he also helped with the investigation of the Ineos Group, which became the new majority shareholder at Les Aiglons.

Despite the change in leadership, Rivère will continue to work with the club after 20 August in a new role, where he will become the ambassador and president of the Endowment Fund.
