Official statement from the club
Norwich City has completed the signing of the Ghanaian international Jeffrey Schlupp on a free transfer after his departure from Crystal Palace.
Schlupp has signed a one-year deal on Carrow Road and wears the number 27 shirt.
Schlupp came to the Canarianen and said: “I am really enthusiastic, it is something new again, but a lot to look forward to the championship at a big club.
“I spoke with the head coach about the plan for this year and I am excited to be involved.
“I'm looking forward to meeting all the players and hopefully we can make something special this year.”
Sports director Ben Klapper added: “Jeffrey's career so far speaks for himself and we are delighted to welcome him and his family to Norwich City.
“He is a player of immense experience who has played at the highest levels both in his own country and internationally. His quality, versatility and character will all be great assets for us, and he will serve as a fantastic reference point for our younger players in particular this season.
“He will offer competition and depth in multiple positions, and we are all very happy that he has the coming season as part of the group.”
Born in Hamburg, Germany, with Ghanaian parents, Schlupp moved to England at a young age and progressed through the Academy in Leicester City, and went 150 performances at all competitions.
The 32-year-old was part of the Foxes side that were crowned Premier League champions during the 2015/16 season before switching to Crystal Palace in January 2017.
He would spend with the Eagles for the next eight years, including time on loan at the Scottish Premiership side Celtic last season, where he also lifted a competition title.
