On May 29, Bayern Munich officially announced the signing of Jonathan Tah van Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer. The central defender has signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2029 and will wear the number 4 shirt.
Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen stated:
“We are very happy to welcome Jonathan Tah to FC Bayern. As an experienced international and top player, he brings stability and strength to our team. He will significantly strengthen our defense. He is a real asset and he has proven that he knows how to win titles.”
Sports director Max Eberl added:
“We have watched him for a long time – this is no secret. We appreciate his qualities, and he is someone who takes responsibility. Jonathan had many offers, but he finally chose Bayern. We are very happy with that.”
