Official: Kyle Walker joins Burnley with a two -year contract from Man City

“When I spoke with Scott and heard about his plans for next season, it was a chance that I jumped on. He did a great job here and lived the club back to the Premier League with a 100-point trek”.

Walker has signed a two-year-old deal with the newly promoted Premier League club after entering the last year of his City contract from Man.

It is understood that the city could make a saving of £ 10 million on the remaining year of Walker's contract.

The experienced Premier League defender becomes Burnley's newest summer signing after the arrival of Max Weiss, Quilindschy Hartman, Axel Tuanzebe and Loum Tchouana, while loan agreements for Bashir Humphreys, Marcus Edwards, Zian Flemming and Jaidon Anthony are also made.

Burnley boss Scott Parker has Walker from their match days in Tottenham from 2011 to 2013, while they were also teammates from England.

Walker spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan, and made 16 performances in all competitions, but the Serie A -side did not take the option to make the deal permanent.

He now leaves the city after a trophy-loaded eight-year stay at the Etihad Stadium, in which he saw 17 trophies win with the club, including Six Premier League titles and the Champions League as part of their Treble-Succes in the 2022/23 campaign.
