Therefore, neither Dani Olmo nor Pau Víctor have been able to register.
Prior to this statement from LaLiga, released after 9 p.m. (Spanish time), FC Barcelona reported that it had applied for a new license from the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for the players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, who had to register with LaLiga before January 1.
On the other hand, the Blaugrana entity has denied that “it has requested or received from any other body any moratorium for the requested registration.”
Barcelona plans to sign Olmo and Victor with the transfer of the use of part of the new VIP boxes in Spotify Camp Nou, for which they will receive around 100 million euros.
LaLiga waited for the Catalan club to complete all the documentation it requested regarding the new contracts and the payment guarantees for them.
The operation, which was closed and activated by club president Joan Laporta in Dubai last week after unsuccessful attempts to register the two players, should also allow Barcelona to return to the 1:1 rule of financial fair play.
This means that, in addition to ensuring the continuity of Olmo and Victor in the first team, Barça could operate at full capacity in the next transfer market.
