OFFICIAL: LIV vs MUN will go ahead as planned and won’t be delayed by weather

Both Liverpool and Man United's official accounts have confirmed the news that the Big Red Derby will not be postponed or postponed.

The matchday 20 match at Liverpool's Anfield stadium, scheduled for kick-off at 11:30am ET/8:30am PT, was thrown into doubt by heavy snowfall in the city and surrounding region. Now they have reached an agreement on whether or not the Derby clash will go ahead as planned.

Liverpool announcement:

Today's match against Manchester United will go ahead as planned. Two safety meetings were previously held to assess weather and travel conditions.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this game to market today. If you travel to Anfield, take extra care. We look forward to seeing you there.

Man United announcement:

After a second safety meeting, it has been decided that today's match between Manchester United and Liverpool will go ahead.

There have been snow and weather warnings in the northwest of the country on Sunday, but it is considered safe for fans to attend the 4:30 GMT kick-off.

Take care if you travel to Merseyside today, Reds.
