OFFICIAL: Man City sign 19-year-old defender Victor Reis

Man's City:

Reis joined the Blues today on a four-and-a-half-year contract from Brazilian side Palmeiras.

And when asked about his qualities, the 19-year-old revealed both technical and mental aspects of his game.

“I am a very enthusiastic athlete, with a great will to win,” he told us.

“So you can all be sure that I will go out and give it my all on the pitch.

“I have a lot of willpower and determination and I am a player who likes a challenge, good headers and passes.”

City have attracted many admirers under Pep Guardiola for their playing style, which accentuates ownership and control of the football.

It is an approach that Reis believes suits his own game.

“I think it will be a good fit,” he added.

“City likes to play with a lot of ball possession, that's how I like to play.

“City showed that confidence in me when they decided to sign me and that gives me a lot of confidence.”
