Amad Diallo has signed a new five-year contract with Manchester United, which will see him stay at Old Trafford until June 2030.
The 22-year-old winger from Ivory Coast, who has emerged as a key player under Ruben Amorim, would have been a free agent this summer.
Diallo, who has made 50 appearances and scored nine goals since joining from Atalanta in 2021, said: “I am very proud to have signed this new contract.
'I have already had some incredible moments at this club, but there is so much more to come. I have huge ambitions in the game and I want to make history at Manchester United.
“I have learned so much since I arrived here four years ago; I am very grateful to the coaches and staff who have helped me develop, and to the fans who push me forward every day.
'It has been a difficult season for everyone, but I am convinced that we are on the right track and that the future will be very special. I am willing to give everything to help the team and make our supporters proud again.'
United technical director Jason Wilcox said: “Everyone is delighted with Amad's development; his quality on the ball, versatility and determination make him an important part of Manchester United's future.
“The best years of his career lie ahead of him, and we all look forward to helping Amad achieve his immense potential and achieve success at the club in the coming seasons.”
Amad Diallo has signed a new contract with Manchester United, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2030.
Sky Sports News reported in September that United were keen to tie the 22-year-old to new terms, rather than exercising the 12-month option included in his previous deal.
Amad has emerged as a star player for United under both Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim, after an initially slow start to his career at Old Trafford after joining from Atalanta in 2020.
Amad scored at both the Etihad Stadium and Anfield to underline his pedigree as United collected four points on visits to Manchester City and Liverpool in recent weeks – and has now put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year deal. his future for the club.
