OFFICIAL: Musiala suffers fibula fracture & ankle dislocation, out long

On July 6, Bayern Munich officially announced the injury update of Jamal Musiala.

The German midfielder has undergone a Fibula fracture and single is the location, will undergo surgery and is set for a long-term absence.

According to Bayern's statement, Musiala flew back to Munich this morning and an operation will undergo in the coming days.

Bayern sports director Christoph Freund said:

“Musiala's serious injury and long absence is a huge blow to the club and for all of us. This is a very tough blow to Bayern. Everyone knows how important he is for our game and the crucial role he plays in this team. Him, and we can't wait to see him again on the field.”

Musiala took the injury during the first half of the stopping time in Bayern's Fifa Club World Cup quarterfinals against Paris Saint-Germain earlier today. He went into pain after a challenge and could not go on.
