OFFICIAL: Real Madrid talent Chema Andres joins Stuttgart on €3M fee

The 20-year-old midfielder signs a contract in Bad Cannstatt until 2030 and wears the number 30.

VFB Stuttgart signed a new signature for the start of the training camp on Monday. CHema Andrés is transferring from the Spanish record champions Real Madrid to the Cannstatt -based club. The 20-year-old midfielder will immediately become a member of VFB Stuttgart and has signed a contract until 30 June 2030. From now on he will wear the number 30 sweater.

CHema Andrés says: “My first impressions are very positive – I am happy to be here and look forward to the first training session with my new teammates. The Bundesliga is a big league – I have always dreamed of going to a special club in one of the best competitions and taking my next steps there.

Fabian Wohlgemuth, VFB Sports Director, said: “With CHema Andrés we have signed a player who fits the requirement profile that we have defined for the defensive midfield position very good. CHEM is already at a high level, he is well welcomed in football and tactics, and still has a great potential.

Three professional performances for Real Madrid

CHema Andrés was born on April 25, 2005 in Valencia, Spain. He started his football career at the age of five with Bétera, before moving to UD Levante's youth team after three seasons. In 2018 – Chema Andrés was then 13 – he made the leap in the Academy of Real Madrid and has since been demanded by all “Royal” youth teams. He then made the step for the senior teams at the Spanish Platenkampioenen and played for their second team, which will participate in the third division of the country in the 2024/2025 season. Chema Andrés made a total of 35 performances for “Real Madrid Castilla” and offered three assists. He also played 13 times in the UEFA Youth League and collected two points. He made two performances for the senior team of Real Madrid in “La Liga” and one in the “Copa del Rey” Cup competition. He was part of the Real Madrid team at the recent FIFA Club World Cup.

The 1.90 meter long midfielder is currently a U-19 International for his home country Spain. He has represented every National Team since the U18 level. He made a total of 14 U-19 performances and scored one goal. He won the U19 European Championship with the Spanish U19 team in 2024.

Fourth signing this summer

CHema Andrés is the fourth new signing of VFB Stuttgart for the coming season 2025/2026. Full-back Lorenz Assignon (Stade Rennes, France) and attacking players Noah Darvich (FC Barcelona, Spain) and Lazar Jovanovic (Red Star Belgrade, Serbia) have already become members of the Cannstatt Club.
