Real Sociedad has signed the Croatian Center-Back Du Caleta-Car (28) under loan from Lyon, have announced both clubs. The 28-year-old defender came to Les Gones from Southampton two years ago. He played 53 times for Lyon. The Ligue 1 -side trimms both his team and his wage account after he has been hit by the DNCG by financial limitations.
According to Lyon, Real Sociedad pays the Ligue 1 side a loan costs of € 500K. The loan from Caleta-Car to the Basque side includes an option of € 4 million to buy. The Croatian International remains connected to Lyon during a contract that expires in 2027. Lyon has planned for the exit of Caleta-Car by signing Casa Pia Center-back Ruben Kluist.
