Brest Center-back Lilian Brassier (25) has become a member of Rennes on loan, both clubs have announced. The Brassier loan movement comprises an option of € 12 million to make its move permanent until 2029. The French center-back spent the first half of the Ligue 1 campaign on loan in Marseille. The performance of Brassier under the supervision of Roberto de Zerbi, however, was far away from the level he showed last season with Eric Roy's Pirates who earned him a switch to the Vélodrome. The Brassier loan to Marseille included a purchase option of € 12 million, which Les Phocéens decided not to activate, which caused Rennes to pounter.
