Tottenham Hotspur has announced the permanent signing of Mathys Tel of Bayern
Spurs' Club Statement:
We are pleased to announce the permanent signing of Mathys Tel of FC Bayern.
Mathys joined the club of the Bundesliga side in February until the end of the season with an option to make the move permanent. We can confirm that we have agreed a deal with Bayern who will see the international signing of France under the age of 21 a contract that runs until 2031 when his current loan agreement ends on 30 June.
He made his debut for the club as a replacement against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup before he marked his first start with a goal against Aston Villa in the Emirates FA Cup. His first Premier League strike came from the penalty spot in a 3-1 victory over Southampton in April. The versatile attacker made 20 performances in all competitions last season and scored 3 goals.
Mathys currently represents France at UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2025, alongside colleague Spurs teammate Wilson Odobert.
