Michael Oliver's conversation with VAR moments before the controversial red card of Myles Lewis-Skelly has been unveiled against Wolves.
The Arsenal teenager received his mars orders in the first half of the 1-0 victory of the Gunners in Molineux for an error on Matt Doherty.
The decision was destroyed after a successful appeal from the Gunners, but questions were asked from Var Darren England.
And the conversation that took place between Oliver, England and the Assistant Var before Lewis-Skelly's shipping has finally come to light.
PMGol -Chef Howard Webb believes that England should have encouraged Oliver to revise the incident that he thinks justified a yellow card, on the monitor.
During the last episode of Match Official's Mic'd Up, he said: “There are some considerations that can support a red card.
“But there are a whole series of others who say it is not entirely there, so on balance we would rather have been a yellow card.
“The VAR did not want to repeat the situation, they were aware of the referee's call unless it is clearly and clearly wrong.
“They thought it was not at that level at the day and decided to leave it on the field as a red card.
“I have heard this to describe as a really terrible official decision. It is not! I understand why the referee saw this on the day as a serious error game campaign.
“We must be careful with slowing down things and freezing things.
“We talked about doing not doing, it can distort reality. We have to look at it at full speed, it looks at it [studs] And comes out fairly quickly.
“But it's an understandable decision on the field.
“Yes, we think the VAR should have been involved, but at the same time I can understand a little why that did not happen at the moment.
“We listen to the game, we give back to the officials to try to ensure that we are in accordance with the expectations of the game and how we judge these things.”
The troops of Mikel Arteta raged during the decision and their intense response saw them beaten with a fine of £ 65,000.
Oliver was chased by smoking fans on social media after the decision and was subject to common death threats.
Webb said about the abuse: “Really disappointing. We know that criticism is coming our way, it is part of the work.
“Everyone on the field is criticized to a certain extent, managers do that too. But there is a line, right?
“No one can be subject to threats, their families should not be subject to threats – whether it is officials or players. We have seen that all participants are exposed to things like that.
“So, really disappointing in that respect.
“People don't always want to agree with the decision – yes, they can criticize where they feel that is justified.
“But not at the level that we saw in this situation where it led to threats against the referee, the officials in this game and their families. It is completely unacceptable.”
Arsenal will be back in action on Saturday afternoon and welcomes West Ham to the Emirates.
