Manchester United has launched their opening offer on Benjamin Sesko, but can be surpassed by Newcastle, who are willing to pay RB Leipzig more money
Ollie Watkins has received a boost in his hope to become a member of Manchester United, despite their bid on Benjamin Sesko. Watkins, 29, is in second place on the shortlist of United behind RB Leipzig -Spits Sesko, who are willing to pay the Red Devils in total £ 73.8 million.
The offer from United corresponds to that of Newcastle, who are willing to pay Leipzig more of the reimbursement. That could see Ruben Amorim's side missing and going back to the negotiating table for Watkins, who was their first priority.
According to The Sun, the English international believes that the time is ripe to leave Villa Park after five seasons, because it had been an offer from Arsenal in January. Villa rejected their £ 60 million offer before Watkins ended the campaign with 17 goals in all competitions.
The report adds that in view of the PSR -Been van Villa, an offer in the region of 40 million to £ 50 million could be sufficient to praise him. That could seduce the Red Devils that could use the money that Sesko bought in another problem area, defensive midfield.
What is more, Villa has agreed a deal to sign a new striker. Evann Guessand will arrive from Nice for a first £ 26 million plus £ 4.3 million in add-ons.
Although United believes that they are Sesko's preferred destination after years of interest, Leipzig would like to do business with Newcastle because of the structure of their offer, which means that the opportunities of Watkins are switching to Old Trafford. The Slovenian currently trains from Leipzig's first team team as a race to sign him.
However, Watkins is not the only alternative to Amorim. Porto star Samu Aghowa, who was previously a target for Newcastle and Villa, and Benfica's Vanglis Pavlidis are both on their shortlist, while in Italy it claims that Juventus de Red Devils has offered the opportunity to sign Dusan Vlahovic for a Keursprijs for a cut price.

There is also the option to keep Rasmus Hojlund, who would like to sell United for £ 30 million. Speaking after the Dane scored during their 4-1 victory against Bournemouth in the preseason, Amorim greeted: “I am really happy with Rasmus, I don't know what will happen until the end of the market.
“The most important thing is that the strikers that are hard work here, improve them and help the team. That is the most important thing.
“The most important thing is that people concentrate on the goals, we suffer from a lack of goals, but I think that not only the goals, but also the way he connects the piece.
“Every time we kick the ball when we are pressed, the ability of him to hold the ball and connecting the support helps us a lot to play better. And we play better because he plays better.”
