‘One stumbling block to Nwaneri signing a new Arsenal contract’

According to a report, Arsenal has encountered a potentially stumbling block while tying Ethan Nwaneri to a new contract.

The Wonderkid has entered into the last year of his current deal and has not yet committed his future to the club, so that various elites ideas are placed on Red Alert.

This is despite the fact that the Gunners want the talented 18-year-old to sign an extension of five years, as reported by Mail Sport, after he had impressed last season.

In recent days, Chelsea has been associated with a shock on their rivals for Nwaneri, who is the youngest player in the Premier League history.

In a further blow to Arsenal, Talksport claimed that he is withdrawing to put pen on paper, unless he is guaranteed to play the next campaign.

The ultimatum comes after he scored four goals in 26 top-flight performances in the past term, with only 11 of those competitions that see him a start.

Nwaneri has made no secret of his wish to win the Ballon d'Or in one day and tell Talksport: 'That is certainly the goal, for sure. I have that in mind. '

The teenager graduated from the esteemed Hale End Academy of Arsenal and has been in the club's books since he was eight years old.

He received his first team debut by Mikel Arteta in September 2022, who was sustained during a 3-0 win over Brentford of just 15 years and 181 days.

Only one further competition outing came in the 2023/24 campaign, but Nwaneri then made the full step to the first team of the Gunners for 2024/25.

He played 37 games in all matches and scored nine goals.

However, his bid for regular minutes at Arsenal can derail, with the club that reportedly agreed personal conditions with the Noni Madueke van Chelsea.

It is understanding that the blues have not made contact with Arsenal to submit a bid.

In a surprising turn, Chelsea could look to break up Nwaneri if Madueke would leave, and they follow his situation active, according to Fabrizio Romano.
