Paris Saint-Germain Head Coach Luis Enrique has insisted that neither he nor his players will be distracted by events elsewhere during the last round of Champions League luminaires, knowing that a draw will be enough for them to have a place in the next round to secure.
The French champions climbed to the 22nd after beating Manchester City last week with 4-2, which means that even a defeat against Stuttgart could be enough to see them through. But no opportunities will be taken according to Luis Enrique.
“Experience tells me that when someone keeps an eye on what is happening from the field, they stop doing what they have to do on the field, which means we won't leave it to chance,” he said a plus -Game press conference.
“We go outside to win, which would improve our competition position and that is our goal. It is clear that there are so many permutations on the last day of competition, but we will not get involved.”
Stuttgart itself has enough to play for and occupies the last play-off place on the 24th at 10 points level with PSG-NAN finish second for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga last season.

“After analyzing Stuttgart, I am not surprised to see that they finished second last season with the way they play and with many international players,” said Luis Enrique.
“Of course it will be a difficult game, they are a team from Pot Four, but they are at a higher level than most other teams. We are preparing for a very difficult game in their stadium.”
Although PSG has come for serious criticism after they have been subjected to their competition phase campaign, their coach suggested that they actually earn it to be much higher in the 36 team table.
“I have a very different opinion than all of you, you base everything on the results and I don't do that,” he said.
“I think we have been superior to almost all the teams we played in the Champions League, especially at home, but of course in football if you are not clinical for the goal, it is difficult to win matches.
“I think we'll be on the same path when we've been the whole season.”
