Ousmane Dembélé set to miss PSG’s Club World Cup group stage games

PSG has received a serious blow for the club World Cup when Ousmane Dembélé (28) withdrew from the French national team of the national team after running a quadriceps injury. The French FA announced on Friday that Dembélé had undergone medical exams that showed a quadriceps voltage. Le Parisien reports that the seriousness of the injury should mean that the Champions League player of the season will miss the three group phase matches of PSG at the club World Cup.

The outlet understands that such an injury generally means an absence of 2 weeks, and that does not take into account further days of recovery to tackle the pace in collective team training. The timing and nature of the injury indicate that Dembélé cannot appear for Les Parisiens against Atlético de Madrid (June 15), Botafogo (June 20) and Seattle Sounders (23 June). The outlet understands that PSG does not intend to sign a striker that would compensate for the Dembélé injury.
