While Pedri tries to come back twice, Acerbi benefits from the blind spot of referee Szymon Marciniak and Pedri pushes down every time – all in the penalty box.
Pedri tried to protest against Marciniak, but the referee did not give a response and the assistant referee also made no signal or intervention. The incident has fueled a heated debate online about the lack of official response.
