
Paddy Pimblett has admitted that he may not be eligible for the kind of fight that Dustin Poirier wants before retiring this summer.
The British superstar faces Michael Chandler in the biggest fight of his career at UFC 314 next month, and had presented Poirier as a potential opponent after the fact. But it seems that the former interim champion is only aimed at older 'legends' for his retirement.
Now Pimblett has admitted that he might have been wrong during their words war. He understands that for his poirier retirement, a more profitable and exciting fight with an older and more established name will want, which will lead to the Brit going up the ranks, regardless of the result.

In the past month, even Nate Diaz had to participate when Dustin Poirier closed conversations about a pension fight with Paddy Pimblett. He wants a different type of opponent, with which the rising scouser it looks like a concept.
“He said something online,” Pimblett recalled in an interview with Jnmedia UK. “Nate Diaz is sad about how I would defeat him and he started to” only “chat legends.” That, to be honest, I understand. If he still has a fight, he doesn't want to fight me.
“He wants to fight someone he thinks he can beat who he thinks he will receive some pay-per-view purchases. So I understand that and if he retires after this fight, then that is healthy, you will see Dustin later, I will go up a different ranking. “

The Melody of Pimblett has changed fairly drastically since a few weeks ago, when he burned Poirier an 'idiot' to plan another fight. He thought the potential for the couple to meet each other in the Octagon could justify another.

Poirier, however, says that it must be a legend, where Pimblett ESPN deports that he thinks it is bad to leave a big opening where they could fight. “He said something about me recently, right?” Pimblett said at the time.
“He says it's only legends and he thinks Chandler will beat me like that. I think he should have more than one fight, he looked good in his last fight. I don't understand why you retire if you look good, but you know, he must be an idiot. But yes, I think I defeated Dustin Poirier, so I would like to fight him. “
