Paddy Pimblett maps out two-fight plan for 2025 starting with top 8 opponent at UFC 314

Paddy Pimblett is ready to make a run in 2025 with lightweight gold.

'The Baddy' cracked the top 15 by Bobby Green stitching Bobby Green in July on UFC 304 – but the only fight he had since had in the gym with his rival Denis Frimpong.

It is hoped that Paddy Pimblett will return to the Octagon in the near future.

UFC 314, which takes place in Miami on 12 April, is the map of which he is expected to be part of after he recently revealed that his comeback was only ten weeks removed.

Paddy Pimblett has a plan

Pimblett recently mapped out his two -foot plan for 2025 during an interview with the Liverpool Echo.

The favorite of the 30-year-old fan believes a victory over the supposed undercard of Ilia Topuria vs Alexander Volkanovski 2 will put him in line for a potential title eliminator.

“I hope to fight at the UFC 314 card in Miami,” said Pimblett. “I've never been to Miami, so I hope to fight about it. That's my plan.

“I have heard that Illia is the headliner of the 314 event against people, but you don't know until something has been completed with the UFC. This is told me and that in recent weeks and months … we will just see what is happening.

“I want to fight in Miami in October and then Abu Dhabi. That's the plan. I hope I can get it. Defeat this opponent, a top eight opponent, defeated someone in the top four or top five and then fight for the [lightweight] belt.

“Islam [Makhachev] Maybe over. He may be retired. We will see what happens. “

Who will be the next opponent of Paddy Pimblett?

Pimblett has been linked to large fights with two UFC legends in recent weeks.

Michael Chandler has welcomed a potential matchup with the scouser.

Dustin Poirier, however, has insisted that it is 'only' legends for what his MMA pension match will be.

For now, Pimblett advises his fans to ignore online speculation about his next opponent and to wait until the UFC makes an official announcement.

He added: “I always tell people that they should not get acquainted with those stupid Twitter pages. They do everything for clicking. “
