On April 12, one of the biggest stars on the Roster was confronted with the biggest test of his career.
Paddy Pimblett was convinced that he would put Michael Chandler in their Co-Main event collision at UFC 314 in Miami.
'The Baddy' is certainly divided during his run in the promotion, but the beating of a former title would reinforce his status as a legitimate lightweight competition.
He did exactly that with Pimblett that dominated Chandler and stopped in the third round after he had ruled ruthless soil and bound the top position.
His seventh consecutive victory in the Octagon has firmly placed the 30-year-old in the title photo with only the top names at 155 pounds for him.

Paddy Pimblett mentions Charles Oliveira as his favorite opponent from the best light weights
In his interview after the fight, Paddy Pimblett mentioned the four top light weights that he would like to fight next time to earn a shot on the 155-pound gold.
'The Baddy' is in the top 10 coming next week and given its star status and momentum, none of the names he mentioned is out of reach.
Pimblett told Joe Rogan that in the near future he wants to stand on the Octagon of Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira or Arman Tsarukyan.
He immediately discredited Tsarukyan as an option and with Poirier prepares for what the last fight of his career seems to be, this also seems an unlikely matchup.
The UFC broadcast has cut to Gaethje, but despite the fact that it was 'the highlight', Pimblett changed corners when naming his preferred choice.
Oliveira has recently been associated with Ilia Topuria, but if 'Do Bronx' does not welcome the former featherweight champion to 155 pounds, he may have a date with the other new competitor of the division.
“I respect Dustin, Justin and Charles. Charles is the greatest legend of them all and he will be the best entry artist who has ever seen the UFC, well I dispute that. I am here, so I versus Charles.”
Paddy Pimblett answered doubters on UFC 314
During Paddy Pimblett's Rise Up the Lightweight Division, many fans wondered if he could compete with the top 15 for various reasons.
'The Baddy' was able to answer some of those questions at UFC 314, where he has achieved his most impressive performance so far.
Pimblett was physically dominant against Michael Chandler with a lot of gas in the tank and much more refined striking that did not leave him open for considerable damage.
The scouser has not only arrived in the top 10, he proved that he deserves to be there, regardless of his popularity.
