Paddy Pimblett believes that no fight can be greater than his shot on the lightweight title of Ilia Topuria, especially after the retirement of Jon Jones.
The rapidly rising scouser announced himself as a serious competition with a mean report by Michael Chandler back on UFC 314 in April. He is now demonstrably one fight away and even that-out of a world title fight that could end a long feud with Topuria.
And with the attempt by Jones to be retired by Dana White, it seems that Pimblett and Topuria are on their way to the biggest stars in the UFC. As such, their fight could be a monumental pay-per-view hit, in particular with a new temporary employment deal on the road for next year.
Paddy Pimblett believes that Ilia Topuria Fight will be the biggest in UFC
Paddy Pimblett is well aware of his place as the fastest rising star in a UFC that urgently needs one. And directly parallel to his increasing supporters was the success of his rival Ilia Topuria, who has become a two -weight world champion.
“Now that Jon Jones is retired, I think it's the biggest fight that the UFC can make,” Pimblett told one-on-one MMA. 'Now there is no Jon Jones and they can't do him and Tom [Aspinall]So it would not surprise me if I had the belt in six to 12 months. “
There seems to be a conviction that Pimblett may still need a fight to prove his courage as a top candidate. And he would rather be against the legendary Justin Gaethje in contrast to controversial competition Arman Tsarukyan.
Dana White was not a fan of Pimblett and Topuria's face-off on UFC 317
Unfortunately, the couple seems to have hit a stumbling block a bit, because Dana White seems to be far from enthusiastic about the next fight. He did not enjoy their octagonal face-off on UFC 317 last month and insisted that the competition is not the next one.

“I don't know who on God's sake let him in; that should never have happened,” White told the media in Las Vegas during the press conference after the fight. “I was already back in my room or that would never have happened …
“The thing is, [Topuria’s] Woman and child were in the octhoek. It shouldn't happen … It was a bad call by the person who let him in there. “
