Paddy Pimblett says UFC 315 winner used his ‘plan’ against Michael Chandler to KO Conor McGregor’s teammate

Paddy Pimblett liked what he saw from one striking artist on Saturday UFC 315 Pay-per-View on Saturday.

Pimblett is just over a month after his newest triumph in the cage and an emphatic TKO victory on the second round at former Bellator champion Michael Chandler on UFC 314.

In their Co-Main event collision, brutal Pimblett Chandler with ground strikes to force the intervention of the referee and clear the road for his climb to the UFC Lightweight Ladder.

However, it appears that the inhabitant of Liverpool had visions to finish 'Iron Mike' with a specific stroke on the feet – one that could be seen entirely on UFC 315 on 10 May.

Pimblett trained the same move for Michael Chandler who used Almakhan to win the UFC 315 opener

After the events that have folded themselves off in Montreal for the latest pay-per-view from the UFC, Pimblett posted a video of his live comments on YouTube.

Before you have Valentina Shevchenko's successful co-headline defense against Manon Fiorot and Jack della Maddalena's title victory at Belal Muhammad in the main event, 'The Baddy', 'The Baddy' responded to the top height of the Undercard.

The night started with a brutal finish thanks to Bekzat Almakhan, who stopped Brad Katona – an old teammate of Conor McGregor's in SBG Ireland – with a mean uppercut.

Pimblett noted that the move was one that he wanted to use when sharing the cage with Chandler in Miami.

“Sleep, kid. That was wonderful,” said Pimblett. “That uppercut right in the middle laid him down. That was what I was planning to do Chandler. Immediately on the chin and he is out. Nice punch, boy, perfect timing.”

Brad Katona achieved historical performance before he destroyed UFC 315, extended losses

Just like McGregor, Katona has recently been without many victories. But regardless of his current form, the Canadian has already etched its name in the history books.

'Superman' started his second stint in the UFC with another appearance on the ultimate hunter. Katona earned a contract earlier by winning TUF 27 in 2018.

After his way to another final, the 33-year-old victor came from a memorable war with Cody Gibson on UFC 292 in 2023. In addition, he became the first and two-time TUF winner.
