UFC Lightweight Competier Paddy Pimblett wants to have an in-depth chat with the referee before his UFC 314 fight.
Paddy Pimblett is aware of the reputation that Michael Chandler has earned from some of his fighting colleagues after some questionable tactics in the Octagon. But for their fight on UFC 314, Pimblett is planning to ensure that the presiding referee is equally aware of possible violations.
Pimblett is confronted with the most difficult test of his UFC career against Chandler in the UFC 314 Co-Main event this Saturday in Miami. After an undefeated run in his UFC official period, Pimblett will have a big step in competition in Chandler, who wants to return to the Win column for the first time since UFC 274.
While Pimblett and Chandler share mutual respect, Pimblett is worried about the length that Chandler may be willing to win a victory over UFC 314.

Paddy Pimblett warns officials of 'Dirty B——' Michael Chandler for UFC 314
Various Van Chandler's former rivals, including Dustin Poirier and Charles Oliveira, have reprimanded the UFC star for unethical actions in the Octagon. In Chandler's most recent outing against Oliveira on UFC 309, Chandler seemed to land a whole series of bumps to the back of the head of Oliveira, which should have been noticed by the referee.
Pimblett wants to ensure that a similar incident does not take place on UFC 314.
During his UFC 314 Media Day -press conference, Pimblett begged for an experienced referee to look at dirty tactics of Chandler in their upcoming fight.
“He is the nicest man in the world outside the cage, and when he comes in there, he is a dirty B – – right?” Said Pimblett. “But I always say that if you don't cheat, you don't try it. So I understand what he is trying to do, he wants to win, and that's the most important thing when it comes to this game.
'But I will probably mention the referee in the back, [to watch] If he goes to grab my gloves or put me in the eyes, things like that …
“The latter against Charles when he hit him nine times in the back of the head or something … I hope that is not my referee, I hope I have a good referee with [Marc] Goddard or [Jason] Herzog. Someone who is not consistently hit in the back of the head … he is a very dirty man. “
Chandler lost to Oliveira due to a unanimous decision, despite a late rally in their UFC 309 -Rematch.
In anticipation of UFC 314, Pimblett was sought from one of the former Rivals of Chandler who eliminated him in just 61 seconds. Patricio 'Pitbull' makes his UFC debut on UFC 314 this Saturday against Yair Rodriguez.
Paddy Pimblett has set up his next potential fight with a victory over UFC 314
If Pimblett is the victory over UFC 314, he could possibly stand in line for a no. 1 candidate fight against another top light weight. In the past few days, Pimblett and UFC have had lightweight competitor Arman Tsarukyan in the UFC 311 recovery from Tsarukyan.
Pimblett interviewed the UFC 311 recovery of Tsarukyan because of a back injury only a few hours before his planned fight with Islam Makhachev. Renato Moicano was then promoted to the main event slot and lost to Makhachev through the first round entry.
But Pimblett is not the only one who questions the nature of Tsarukyan's hours-notice decision to pull out of the Main Event of UFC 311. Joe Rogan claimed that a failed weight movement might have been the main reason behind Tsarukyan who withdrew from the event.
Pimblett and Tsarukyan may be on a collision course after UFC 314, because Tsarukyan has to win at least one fight before they earn another title shot. Regardless of the outcome of Pimblett versus Chandler, the UFC 314-Co-Main event is expected to shake up the lightweight division.
