Paddy Pimblett threw up in the cage after controversially beating UFC fan favorite in title fight

'The Baddy' has been a somewhat controversial star for several years, even before he was in the UFC.

Although he may have shared a friendly exchange with Ilia Topuria in London, Paddy Pimblett is certainly no stranger to drama.

Pimblett's also had to overcome an important adversity in his career with fighting that did not always go his way, despite his undefeated run in the UFC.

The scouse star returns to UFC 314 on April 12, where a victory over Michael Chandler Pimblett could push in the lightweight title photo with a seventh consecutive victory in the Octagon.

Long before he made his name in the UFC, the Brit came at the top in a controversial title fight that fans still claim that it was a robbery with the champion that ran on some stomach issues in the immediate aftermath.

Paddy Pimblett defeated controversial Julian Erosa at Cage Warriors: Unplugged

The rise of Paddy Pimblett to become one of the most discussed hunters outside the UFC really started when he killed Johnny Frochey at Cage Warriors 78 to win the featherweight title in 2016.

His first title defense only came behind closed doors two months later in the BT Studio in London for Cage Warriors: Unplugged on November 12.

The challenger was Julian Erosa, a 17-3 American who had previously participated in the Ultimate Fighter Season 22 as part of the Urijah Faber team.

His first Stint in the Octagon ended in March 2016 after a knockout loss for Teruto Ishihara on UFC 196, but after back-to-back victories he earned a great chance in Europe.

Pimblett and Erosa fought for five rounds where 'Juicy J' clearly got the upper hand of the striking fairs and despite the fact that the champion secured a few removals, he could therefore cause a lot of damage.

All three jury members scored the fight in favor of Pimblett, while the three media cards via MMA decisions were the challenger at the top.

After MMA fights looked back on the fight in 2022, 81% of the 442 in total voters said that the result was a robbery and that Erosa clearly deserved the victory.

Erosa would return to the Octagon in 2018 after a victory over the Contender Series of Dana White and he now has 15 UFC periods under his belt with his next outing on the same night where Pimblett stands to Chandler, UFC 314 on 12 April.

The drama did not end with the score cards, such as during the Pimblett interview, he was forced to take a break of what he said to Kiel and throw in the cage.

Given the color of the liquid, many believed that the defending champion had thrown blood that had not caused the best image after he had been declared controversial.

Pimblett later revealed that it was a mix of hot chocolate and Ferrero Roche that he had consumed before the fight after he had gone through a difficult weight running to make 145 pounds.

'The Baddy' fought once more at featherweight, where he lost his title to Nad Narimani before he made the decision to increase a weight class.
