‘Paddy Pimblokov’… Conor McGregor leads hysterical fan reaction as Alexander Volkov debuts new look at UFC 310

Conor McGregor joined the fans as they all made the same joke about a UFC 310 star.

Alexander Volkov wore a bold new look for his fight with Ciryl Gane in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

The 6-foot-2 Russian had his blonde hair in cornrows, much to the surprise of fans watching at home.

Photos of Volkov quickly went viral on social media as everyone pointed out his striking resemblance to another UFC fighter.

Alexander 'The Bad Guy' Volkov

Conor McGregor had the same hilarious reaction when fans made fun of Volkov for braiding his hair.

The former two-weight champion thought he looked exactly like lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett.

'The Baddy' has been trying to keep his luscious locks in check in recent fights, and it's paying off.

Not only is he 6-0 in the Octagon, but his UFC peers are now copying his hairstyle.

“Paddy Pimblokov,” McGregor wrote in a now-deleted tweet alongside three crying, laughing emojis.

UFC fans followed in the Irishman's footsteps by making the same joke 100 different ways.

One UFC 310 viewer said: “Paddy Volkov.”

Another said: “Volky The villain.”

A third person commented: “Paddy's future.”

Someone else joked: “He's turned into a Scouser.”

Ciryl Gane storms out of Octagon after victory

Shock was the overwhelming emotion as the judges' scorecards were confirmed by Bruce Buffer after 15 minutes of heavy action.

Gane easily defeated Volkov when they fought over five rounds at UFC Vegas 30 in June 2021.

However, there was nothing easy about his three-round rematch with 'Drago' at T-Mobile Arena.

UFC commentators Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier thought Volkov had done enough to earn the victory, but he found himself on the wrong side of a highly controversial split decision.

Even Gane's team seemed stunned by the scorecards. Head coach Fernand Lopez was seen with his hands on his head before 'Bon Gamin' bizarrely stormed out of the Octagon rather than sticking around to talk about his win.

Gane eventually returned to talk to Rogan about his victory and an injury he suffered during the fight.

“I'm not happy with my fight,” he said.

“I broke my toes in the first second of the fight. I won, but I'm not happy.”
