Paige VanZant’s first MMA fight since leaving the UFC announced against 5-1 fighter

Paige Vanzant's debut for new MMA promotion, GFL, has finally been closed off, with the former UFC star who goes down in Los Angeles.

Paige Vanzant was once considered one of the biggest stars of the UFC, which after her first three fights were unbeaten in the promotion.

She was recommended to spear the next generation of UFC stars during her time with the promotion, but she left in 2020 in 2020 after three losses from her last four fights.

Since her exit from the UFC has become '12 Gauge 'involved in various combat sports, which have participated in Misfits -boxing, BKFC and even in the Power Klap of Dana White.

However, the 31-year-old recently returned to the UFC when she was wearing her husband, Austin Vanderford, for his debut in the promotion, who got back to the UFC Octagon for the first time in five years.

The GFL debut of Paige Vanzant announced before 25 May

After her stints in various other promotions outside the UFC, Vanzant was officially signed by a new MMA promotion, Global Fight League, earlier this year.

Together with Vanzant, the GFL signed various other former UFC stars, including Tony Ferguson, Luke Rockhold, Chad Mendes and more.

When the 31-year-old was officially signed with the promotion, she did not immediately have an opponent, although it seemed as if she would choose her from a small pool of hunters.

Although, in a press release this Monday, the promotion announced that Vanzant will record the Canadian Fighter Randi Field on 25 May in the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Field is currently 5-1 as a professional hunter who fought in particular for Bellator, with 2-1 in the promotion.

Vanzant's GFL debut comes during the two-day event launch

The debut of Vanzant comes as part of a two -day event launch with various of the promotion star who would compete the day earlier on 24 May.

Urijah Faber and Renan Barao will clash for the third time when they lock Hoorns on the first day, with Anthony Pettis vs Benson Henderson also planned to go off the event.

The aforementioned Mendes will also make his promotion debut on the first day when he takes on Maike Linhares, a prospect fighting from Brazil.

After her shock output of the UFC, Holly Holm also confirmed her inaugural match because she takes it on Julia Budd.

On day two, the long-awaited match between Ferguson and Dillon Danis will go, with the promotion that the fight labeled as 'The Perfect Lead-in'.
